I am directed to refer to the communications noted on
the margin from the Government of India, Department of
Commerce, on the subject of зurplus:

assets of the Calcutta Franch of
the Deutsche Asiatische Rank and to state that the liquida-
tion of this branch is not complete yet. There are still some
outstandings to be settled, although the greater portion of the assets has been realised. The present position of the
Fank's affairs is reported by the Liquiintor of Hostile
Firms, Pongal, to be as follows:-

Two instalments which remain to be collected amount to 19.3,500.
(2) accounts with Cox's Shipping Agency (regarding 1: 11,500 paid to them for ob- taining release of Pank's cargoes Ex,
